KNOWING THE VOICE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (EPISODE 1)

One key thing we must understand is that the Holy Spirit is neither something nor substance.

He is a person and the third person of the Godhead.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of _the Holy Ghost:_

*He is God as the Father and the Word (Jesus Christ)*

And He works in unity with the Father and the Word (Jesus Christ)

He was a participator with the Father and the Word (Jesus Christ or the Son) in the era of creation.

One key thing we must note is that creation of the universe has no inclusion of angels or any other creature.

Creation was done directly by the Godhead (The Father,Son and the Holy Spirit)

The scripture below underlines how the Holy Spirit played a function in creation.

Genesis 1:1-3 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. *And the Spirit of God moved* upon the face of the waters.
And *God said* , Let there be light: and there was light.

The Father was in the Word(Jesus Christ or the Son) bringing forth ideas and directives for creation,the Word or Jesus Christ functioned as the speaker-He(Word) speaks out the ideas and instructions of the Father while the movement of the Holy Spirit (Spirit of God) upon the face of the waters made the spoken word to accomplish its purpose.

In other words,the Godhead played these roles in creation, the Father acted as the *idea developer and instructor* ,the Word(Jesus Christ) as the one who expresses the ideas and instructions of the father in spoken word and the Holy Spirit (Spirit of God) *as the performer or accomplisher(* He performs the purpose of the spoken word).He makes sure the words come to pass.

Let's view some scriptures that attest that the *Holy Spirit speaks.*

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the *Spirit of truth* , is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not *speak* of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall *he speak and he will shew you things to come.

Matthew 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but *the Spirit of your Father* which *speaketh* in you.

Acts 8:29 Then the *Spirit said* unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

Acts 10:19 While Peter thought on the vision, *the Spirit said* unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
