Dear young Minister!!!
You don’t need to be fathered by a seemingly famous and so-called "Anointed," person, to succeed in ministry. This is a grave mistake many young ministers are making in this generation. You don’t need a popular Father, to become popular. You don’t need the people that look anointed in the eyes of many, to be anointed. You just need a good father and the one God sent to you.
I have observed many young ministers wanting to be fathered by popular figures, in the land they find themselves. Some will journey from Ghana to South Africa, to be fathered by a man who will never answer their calls or even know they exist.
Some will change spiritual fathers every year!!!
Meanwhile, there are good Fathers who are their neighbors, who because they may not be popular on social media; they do not want to be fathered by them. While some others are following the gifts of their Father-figures and not looking at the character of these people.
Why would you seek out someone to be a spiritual father who don’t know who you are and where you are?
Why should you have a Father who don’t know you are his son?
How can your Spiritual Father not have your number?
The posts you place in the public domain, do you have someone who monitors its contents and what you do, to avoid dangerous mistakes?
Does your Spiritual Father observe your doctrine and how you run your ministry?
Does he keep track of your marriage or relationship?
Does he keep an eye on your character and rebukes you when the need arises?
Is your Spiritual Father strong at the areas you’re weak?
Does the presence of your Spiritual Father intimidate your weakness or does he make your feel comfortable?
Well, answer those questions yourselves;
Some people submit to Father-figures because they’re popular and not because they really need Fatherhood.
Adding your popular Father-figure's picture on a flyer, doesn’t change anything, if you have no access to him. Grow up!
There are Fathers who attend to your child-naming ceremony, and your own Father's burial service and are always available when you call them, but are not considered anybody, because they are not popular. Sad!!!
Don’t leave the good Fathers near you and travel miles to meet a popular figure, who you have no access to.
You need a good father and not a popular one. So get one who can monitor all that you do. Get one who can track your ministry, marriage, relationships, character and doctrine. This is fatherhood.
Remember, you can have many mentors, but only one father!
Shalom!!!
